im still enjoying my last day of looooong holidays. was thinking to extend another week or two.

labour experience

11th August 2011

berbuka puasa with the in laws. then after isya' forced husband to teman makan pizza hut. ordered a large chicken supreme with extra cheesy lava.

arrived home roughly around 11pm. borak2 dengan husband and lepas tuh gelak - gelak (tak ingat sebab apa). decided to trick him - pura2 buat macam sakit nak beranak.(lol). tried it before (so many times)-unfortunately tak berjaya.

11.45pm tengah syok2 gelak (time tuh tgh baring), tiba2 rasa sakit sangat from belakang and bawak ke depan. literally im screaming sebab sakit sangat -tapi kejap je. husband was stunned. so was i. at first i thought -where this gush of water coming from? told husband- oh my air ketuban sudah pecah. tapi lepas tuh air mencurah2 keluar everytime ive made a move. so i sat on the bed and wait for husband to pack things. time tuh rasa macam nak tergelak sebab tak sakit langsung.

mil gave milo for energy katanya. few minutes later, all the things ive eaten hours before, keluar macam air terjun. HMM!

12th August 2011

around 12.15am in laws sent us to the pcmc. oh nasib baik rumah dekat je (and tak jem).

arrived pcmc around 12.35am and went straight to the a&e. terus dibawa ke labour room -level 6.

i was lucky because no one is in labour. so apparently the nurses werent really strict. my pil, sil, bil semua keluar masuk labour room je. hehe

i remember the first question ive asked the nurse, kak, kene seluk sekarang ke? kawan saya cakap sakit. (lol)

had ctg, and nurses were surprised to see how calm i was. mmg tak rasa sakit langsung tapi air mencurah2. i kept on asking questions like mcmane kalau tak rasa sakit langsung and at the same time air ketuban keluar macam air paip. hahaha, akak tuh cakap jangan risau apa2..

nurse cakap stay in labour room je sebab senang nak monitor. and the labour room dekat pcmc macam bilik je cuma takde carpet. so takdela rasa takut.

around 2am, diseluk buat pertama kalinya. yes, tidak rasa apa2. was told i had 2cm dilated.

facebooking, tengok tv and ketawa lagi. husband asked me to sleep saja. so did the nurses. tak boleh tidur. told hubby this maybe the time. sehari sebelum tuh asyik mimpi dapat pegang baby je.

around 3am both of us buat solat sunat. sempat baca surah luqman and maryam.

3.30am, my parents arrived. relieved. glad to see their faces. tiba2 rasa sayu tgk muka mak. macam mana lah mak rasa sakit time lahirkan saye.

tiba2 rasa nak membuang. husband said better ask the nurses. nurse cakap kene check lagi sekali lagi. oh, baru 3cm. nurse bagi ubat senang buang. stayed at the bilik air almost 40minutes.

sakit itu sudah datang. tak tahu berapa minit apart sebab tak tahu nak kira. husband asyik suruh to breathe properly. sometimes i ignore je ape die cakap. heh. husband asyik tanya, nak epidural ke. i told him- no way, im gonna deliver this baby with all the pain. mak boleh handle, so do i.

sakit beranak itu tersangatlah sakit but remember its still bearable.

but around 5.30am, sakit itu tersangatlah sakit. and told husband, i cannot stand anymore and need the epidural badly. (hahahahahaha). had mum and husband with me. i said to husband nak pergi toilet balik, and luckily mak cakap inform the nurse first. nurse check lagi. lepas tuh tanya, cuba teka sudah bukak berapa. i said 6, husband said 7, mak said 8. nurse cakap sudah bukak 9. she said not advisable to go to toilet. tapi die bagi jugak. try nak membuang tapi sudah kosong. lol.

so, no epidural for me lah sebab dah bukak 9 kan.

nurse called dr seri and within 15minutes she arrived. i was so ready to push. memang rasa nak push sangat2 tapi kene tunggu dr. at some point mmg kepit je kaki tu. mom told me she halalkan everything and ampunkan dosa2 saya. sangat terharu. i mintak maaf to both mom ad husband. husband gave all the kata2 semangat.

around 5.55am, dr is ready and letak je kaki dekat atas alat tuh mmg terus nak push rasanya. was told to push bila rasa sakit. dr said i was very lucky sebab pintu rahim sangat lembut. the funny thing was, dr sampai je, my husband terus tanya dr seri- dr, ini yang kene buat hee hee hoo tuh ke? lol. dr kata, no need, push saje. i said to the dr, can i scream as well. she said no. it only happens in tamil movies je.

3 pushes and im all done. at 6.10am little missy disambut dengan assalamualaikum and all the pain gone lah.

husband did the azan and iqamat. the tahnik process came in later. lepas tu saya sambung facebook balik. lol.

syukur alhamdulillah. i must say i had a fast and easy labour. mmg kalau tak bukak sampai 9cm tuh mmg ambil epi kot. time dah 9cm tuh nurse provide the laughing gas dekat tepi. tapi ive decided not to inhale sebab nak tunjuk kuat sangat tahan the pain. hihihih.

nurse cakap, kalau ada rezeki dapat anak no 2, terus berlari ke hospital ye. senang sangat awak beranak ni.

apa2 pon, i prefer my labour experience than my pantang. lol.

28days before my edd

i am 28 days away from my due date. tersangatlah excited. i think we have managed to get *almost everything for lil missy. i can feel this baby will come out soon :)

my hospital bag is almost done - and er yes only for the baby side. ive got aan amazing aunt who helped me a lot. so basically, i cant wait for my pantang session. seriously, sangat stress tengok size badan sendiri. as for my weight, i have stop gaining so fast..so i think by next week, maybe naik sekilo je. i stay at home most of the time, so my kaki mmg less bengkak.

i miss spending time at the malls. like last week i went to tesco with husband, but after 10mins macam nak pitam dah. so many people, and tesco is so huge..so memang tak larat. anyway, my current favourite shop at the moment is bebehaus. i think it is a lot cheaper compared to mothercare- in terms of baby gears lah. plus, i can find all my favourite concord items at the shop.

as for my pregnancy pulak, my placenta is getting higher and higher. alhamdulillah, berkat doa semua..

although doctor's major concerned is my baby a bit small. hm, who says taking obimin will make your baby big. so far im taking obimin, my baby kecik cinonit je. tapi mak die lah yg besar. maybe betol kot. whether you or the baby or both of you yang besar.

i dont have any legs cramp- i think milk and the calcium which i take occasionally helps a lot. at this stage i try to force myself to drink plain water as much as possible. my trip to the loo has increased. i wish the trip will end soon. tak larat every 15 mins mesti macam nak gi toilet je.

how's your ramadhan so far? oh cant wait for syawal- tak sabar nak ambil gambar bertiga. hehe

baby stuff

i swear my baby has more baby clothes than i do (if mittens and booties are counted lah kan, heh). i have yet to get a dress for her- too scared if my baby is too big or too small, last check up during 32-week scan, she weighed around 2.4 kilo. it was only 1.3kilo , 3 weeks back. now, she's gaining, and mummy has stop gaining eversince. good, at least i knew she's not that "small" anymore because im too worried with this placenta thingy. you know when you're having low lying placenta, your baby is small, because she's got less nutrients and oxygen... well thats what ive read from books lah. but look, my baby is gaining and dr seri said she's a one tall lil lady. what to do, when your parents are tall too, missy. heh

so, i went to parentexpo yesterday. i am quite dissapointed. the expo was pretty okay. except if you're planning to get a medela breastpump, the price is quite a steal. the only thing i bought are thermos flasks. lol.

we've got our concord rio. and i cant wait to use it. lil missy, im gonna train you to use that thing- no matter what. hahaha. and i seriously cant wait to see lil missy's stroller. and we have to put that car seat on hold- well, er not enough money. he he he

will update more on lil missy stuff soon. im too tired..but veryyy excited!

second trimester

i have to agree that second trimester is more like a "honeymoon" phase. no more loya. no more mood swings. no more tak larat. i'm all energetic. the only bad thing wasi ate like nobody business. i was literally craving for different kinds of food. at first- i can eat only pasta based. so for the whole week makan pasta je. then pizza. everyday makan pizza. from pizza hut to dominos to papa john to italianies. lepas tuh makan nasi with kailan ikan masin like almost everyday. and yes i crave for spicy food. i love cili padi. (i was told nanti anak baran je..oh well- what to do, mak pon baran je.haha)

and i actually started buying for my baby stuff during second trimester. mom and dad have been sooooo niceeee belikan macam2 for her grand daughter. alhamdulillah.

and when you're eating *too* much, you tend to gain so fast. yes, my pre pregnancy weight was 52kilo. and it was almost 70kilo during my last week of second trimester. i dont think you want to know my current weight. i *think* i can beat hubby's weight soon. yes, that is how big/huge i am now.

i really had a good time during my second trimester. mom and dad did a kenduri kesyukuran..and ramadhan is coming..and my atuk is getting better- so its good to have bacaan yaasin with the family. and the kenduri took place at my grandparents house in kuala klawang.

although most of the part mmg happy je in second trimester, i found out that i had low lying placenta during my 28th check up. my baby's head dekat sangat2 dengan placenta. so my dad suggested to take leave...and i rest at home most of the time. alhamdulillah, during my last visit, the placenta dah move ke atas sikit.

im now almost entering 35 weeks. how time flies. somewhere around last year, i still remember i was busy preparing my own wedding. gawd, i miss that moment. and im going to miss this moment. my baby loves to kick when i recite some surah and zikir to her. or when her kakak lica sing some song or when kakak lica screams. hahaha, guess this lil girl tak sabar nak jumpa her kakak lica.

now, i miss my niece pulak. aiyakkkk

i've never done shopping online. you know where u browse things from overseas website ; say uk or us then ask them to ship to you. first i dont want to use paypal services..and second i dont like to charge credit cards. i am free from credit card commitment :)

usually i will ask friends to get it for me. pay them terus via maybank2u ke.. but the thing is - most items are a bit small.

i want to get this thing. and this thing is super cheap dekat us. well if the price of the thing and the postage is more than getting it here, i will stick to the old plan- beli dekat sini sahaja. so far the only place i can get this (yang im aware of) is at the first years shop, the curve. retail price lebih kurang rm999. tapi dekat us retail price is us199. (kalau convert dapat brp eh?)

my nephew has this. no, its not a walker. believe me, kids love this. i so wanna get this. i was told this can be used from 6 mos and above. tapi have to wait ur kids really strong la..nanti tak elok pulak for the backbone. and so i was told.

so, please teach me how to ship this thing from us to here. and if it is more than rm999, i give up lah.

as for my baby, i havent get any baby gear stuff for her yet. im not sure too early is a right word to describe. in fact i think we are a bit lambat. first, i cannot afford to walk in malls like i used to. whether im moody because of my swollen feet or because im too tired to carry this big bump or most of the time, everyone ask me to stay at home je because of the placenta case. but seriously, i can only spare like 3 hours je, lebih dari tuh comfirm nak pitam.

oh mothers are u aware of the parent expo dekat midvalley tuh end of this month. i plan to go there ..tak pernah pergi any expo. i was told barang pon banyak murah. there are some stuff i need to get for my baby...tapi tak tahulah larat pergi ke tak. or else, just beli jela dekat mana2 shop.

if takde masalah, probably by next month we will get the stroller we want. he he he. i think i am more excited than the baby kot. and we are buying the bouncer too. not sure, but looks like my nephew ok je dalam bouncer. i dont plan to buaikan my daughter. no im not against buai. yes, probably dekat rumah my sis or my mom senang kot.tapi dekat rumah in law susah sikit sebab my nephews mmg tak berbuai. anyway, babies are different..so lets see je k. hopefully my daughter loves the bouncer. well like i said her mom lagi excited. kehkehkeh.

oh, we are planning to get a carseat for her as well. (u might ask why everything has to be concord? -seriously i have no answer to that.haha). you see, i dont like to be depend on others- all i know i have to place my baby at my sister's house during the day after the pantang- and we havent move to our own house and we are so comforatble to stay at in laws because it is only 10mins away je from the office. so i think i will become like my sister la kot..i have to place my daughter there sebab i dont trust other ppl than my own family. and of course im planning to breastfeed my baby all the way- so thats mean i have to see my baby every 2 days to feed her..hopefully banyaklah supply susuku, ya allah. anyway this is beasically the plan. dah keluar baby ni tak tahu la mungkin lain kot ceritanya. anyway, i dont want to fully dependable dekat husband. i have my own car, so i want to be able to pick my daughter at any time..anyway i think this carseat is the best. and yes..errr, i want to train her from kecik.

yes, this thing can be use from newborn up to 4 years. everything is adjustable. i might get this or the latest maxis cosi opal. the sideways are adjustable too. so lets see, which is the most important thing first to get.. or i should say which fits the buget (well, at the moment semua pon nampak macam important)

anddddd, we are planning to get this awesome chair - stokke tripp trapp. let me know if there is any shop that are selling less than 1k. bebehaus is currently my fav shop. daptlah cut here and there..and this guy told me this awesome chair is selling at 1.2k. but looks like very gooood. plus, my niece pon boleh pakai..in fact i pon boleh duduk. lol..again, siapa boleh ship this thing from uk/us?

argh, why all the babies products/gears sooo cute and sooooo expensive...dont get me wrong- im not getting everything at once. manelah ada duit sebanyak tuh. but yes...im getting these stuff soon.

and oh one more thing- im not getting any baby cots for my daughter. yes, she's going to be clingy to whomever she sleeps with later. i dont care. no babycot okay, baby girl?

and er, now only i know why mothers love mothercare. hehehehe.

my beijing honeymoon

ive got few readers who keep on emailing asking for my beijing trip. im not sure what to write sebenarnye. hehe.

i think i reviewed my beijing (so called honeymoon trip) sampai day 1 je. hahaha.

so, this entry is more like informasi jela.. what i ate, where i stayed, which tour group i joined, blablabla. if you find this entry informative, thank you, if not..sorry ye.

so, both of us flew with Apple Muslim Holiday via MAS (a 6-hr journey) from 21st Dec 2010 - 26 Dec 2010. it was during winter- the package is slightly higher. we were told, malaysians love to go beijing during winter /autumn hence the price is slightly higher. anyway, you can go to beijing with cheaper price during spring (now tak silap dalam rm1500++ each) and er, do not go there during summer. panas gila. as all of us know, beijing has this iklim melampau. kalau panas, panas sgt, kalau sejuk, sejuk sangat. malaysia mmg panas, so pergi jela musim bunga ke ..musim sejuk ke.. ok?

so, we secure our trip masa dekat matta fair. trust me when i say, this apple muslim holiday offers the most expensive package compared to others. ada je yang full tour + ticket+hotel, termasuk tax and all, tak sampai 2k pon. ours was rm2800- all inclusive(will reconfirm again on the actual price, could be a bit less or more). why on earth we chose this tour? masa dekat booth tuh, they had a huge booth, and all the customers yg datang are mostly return customers. pr mmg tersangatlah bagus. i HIGHLY recommend this company lah. you may check their website here (Apple Vacations & Sdn Bhd) and click the Apple Muslim Holiday to find out more. Plus, certain tour kan kene tunggu at least 20 ppl baru bleh fly kan? this tour kalau 10 org pon they still fly.

dulu saye begini. sekarang, sila kali 3 ye.

we flew tgh malam and sampai dalam pukul 5.15 pagi. lepas tuh pergi toilet and get into our thermal wear. sejuk betul masa tuh, but ada je yang still boleh terima weather tu.. it was around -2degC at that time (masa pergi tianmen square it was -7degC. sejuk tuh still boleh tahan, tapi angin die lain macam sungguh). bolehla handle lagi. just yours truly mmg cikeding n tak tahan sejuk, mmg kene pakai thermal wear. so we took our sweet time tukar baju n semua group yang lain (different agencies) terkejar2 nak check out dekat imegresen. we were the last group to arrive there but were the first group to check out. ha ha ha. pandai kan our tour leader, melayu, tapi pr sangatlah bagus, and know how to negotiate. loves him.

so we stayed at Mercure Beijing Downtown Hotel (not in the city, but very close to Beijing International School). We were the only Malaysians yang stay dekat hotel tuh. other groups semua stay dekat hotel cina. he he he. my god, loves the hotel. takdela expect that hotel sebagus itu, yela kita tour ikut tour group, but this agency mmg provide good accommodation. kalau ada rezeki ke beijing, i will stay at this hotel. depan hotel tuh ada kedai runcit kecik, semua pon ada. just they dont understand english, susah sikit nak explain apa kita nak. but we've got our gam kasut dekat situ lah. murah pulak tuh. and the fruits, ya allah sedapnye..murah gilaaaaa.

our room

the food? we went to different kedai each time. i think the worst kedai is during our first day- a thai restaurant. paling tak sedap. takde thai langsung. okayla, have to admit that this beijing ppl mmg jaga pemakanan. they dont eat spicy food. so..mmg tak pedas langsung. n ada satu cili ni, kecik je..macam rupa cili kering tapi saiz macam cili padi. bukan pedas, tapi membakar lidah. my advice, dont eat that thing. nanti asyik nak minum air je. toilet pon susah sebab takde air. ha ha ha.

anyway, my personal fav is this restaurant. dont bother asking the name, because i cant remember. heh. i was told this is the only place u can get peking duck yang halal di beijing (let me know kalau ada tempat lain jugak ye). oh btw, peking duck tersangatlah tak sedap, rasa macam plastik.

food at that night were great, paling sedap lah. these are some of the meal..

we had lebih kurang 12 lauk..lepas tuh ada buah-buahan.

so far (sebab baru travel bersama sekali je), we had the most amazing experience. our group pon best..happening je.. flew with another 3 families. and er, siapa cakap shopping dekat beijing mahal? tipula...(or memang tak pandai negotiate). heh, of course designer goods are expensive ..but fake items mmg super murah.. yg penting bila negotiate, bila org tuh tekan calculator, terus mark down sampai 90% ye. it worked everytime for me ye. kata pon beli barang tipu kan? anddd, jangan cakap bahasa melayu depan dierorg..dieorg paham okei. kalau boleh mengejalah seperti saya. hahaha

itu jelah setakat ini. more review coming.. hm..did i miss anything?

our plan was to go turkey next year, tapi terpaksa dikuburkan sementara waktu sebab sudah pregnant. hehe. our group leader, ada tulis sikit2 pasal trip ni dekat sini.

husband said ive been under the weather for quite sometimes. yeah this placenta thingy worries me. some say its okay if we go on csect...but of course i want a natural birth (u see w/o epi and all). now what worries me some say placenta will slowly go down because baby is getting bigger and heavier. well, all i can say, i berserah to Allah, and maybe what ever hppn next is the best for me.

dad has been asking me to stay at home and rest. the thing is i loveee shopping malls. haha, i cant stay at home till my edd kan? but maybe thats the best for me. i have to plan few things before my long break. probably looking for a new job. LOL. anyway i was told not to move around a lot.

baby is healthy. she loves to kick - well that's the sign she's healthy and active kan? seriously i cant wait to see my baby. this week im entering 32 weeks. cepat kan? i knowwwww!

oh did i mention that we are going to have babymoon soon? its more like a babymoon / family vacation thingy. the good thing about it -is dad is paying for everything and i have the whole family with us. cant wait. seriously cannot wait. tak jauh pon. pd je. hehe. but seriously i cannot wait. it has been a while.

this "thing" made me realize that i should bersyukur more. we didnt have to wait that long to have a baby. alhamdulillah, Allah has given a lot nikmat for us and yet im still complaining. i have tried my best and now bertawakal to Allah is the only way. normal birth or not normal, i guess i am one of the luckiest people that has given the opportunity to get pregnant.

i got to be honest with you girls. i rarely take pictures of mine masa mengandung. yes. im expanding so fast. u see, my pre pregnancy weight was 52 kilos. (i am 170 cm tall). and can you guess how much i weigh now? seventy two. yes. and ive got plus minus 9 weeks to deliver. i know its still a long way to go and maybe my weigh can reach up to 80kilo. well, they say it took 9 months to go up and 9 months to go down. the problem is ive been telling everyone that i can shed all these kilos within 2 months. yes, its crazy. no, no diet. because i love food at the moment. so im not sure i should start listing all the yoga/Pilates classes now or not (LOL). im planning to bf my baby all the way- well we see how.

ive been eyeing good photographers already- but have yet to tell hubby about it. of course i have few in my mind. my all time favourite daniel zain is so far the best photographer ive been working with. i love every single photos he took. trust me, you wont regret the amount you're paying him. now, the problem is, hubby is not keen to pose again in front of camera. lol. and i think we cant really afford to spend on that because well, strollers and breast pump are a bit expensive. heh.

hm, did i ever mention to you that my husband has no idea what babymoon is?

i should find someone good to take my maternity shoot no matter what.....well i am so lucky that subhi is having an incredible offer~~!

im sure there are many things that mothers have amalkan during mengandung. i am no expert in this. ramai betul yang bagi tips. i did some of them, others ada yang tak buat.

okay, this is the summary lah

1. recite surah maryam, surah yusuf, surah luqman, surah hujurat, surah yaasin, surah al fatihah, surah taubah, surah toha, surah al nahl. waktu2 lain boleh baca al quran at least one page.

2. in between times berzikir. my baby loves it when i start to zikir munajat.

3. pomegranates! (buah delima) mom is my main "supplier". mmg rezeki anak ini murah. habis satu, mesti mak beli sampai satu tahap, macam nak stop je makan. hehehe. yes, you may get the supply from cold storage. rm22-24. sedap and merah menyala.

4. kurma nabi (okay any kurma will do) and kismis . tapi my sis baru balik umrah. terus borong 2 kilo.

5. minum susu enfamama.

6. pagi wajib breakfast.

7. makan neurogain wajib everyday. lain2 selang 1-2 hari baru makan obimin (some say badan boleh cepat besar/baby besar. waallahualam) , acid folic masih makan eventho dah third trimester tapi selang seli, and calcium lactate pon selang seli sebab everyday minum susu.

8. makan minyak kelapa dara campur dengan honey. ini baru je amalkan. and minum air kelapa. ini pon baru amalkan jugak.

9. waktu tido malam kaki mesti dinaikkan sedikit. kalau kaki bengkak (bengkak air) pagi tuh dah surut dah. waktu siang pakai stokin (lupa brand name) agak ketat sikit tapi very comfy sebab kaki kurang bengkak, dan betis tak sakit.

10. urut ni menjadi satu kemestian ye. sapa tanye sebab kene urut? kalau pregnant sakit satu badan, bila urut boleh kurang penat and sakit pon hilang 2 minggu.

so far ini je yang saya ingat. heh. will update from time to time. congrats kepada yang dah mengandung dan dah beranak. tahun ni macam ramai perempuan je. hehe

er yes. i PLAN to bf my baby all the way. wish me luck!

oh, mothercare is like my second home already. everyday i will make excuses to husband asking to go to bsc. no, i have yet to purchase anything there. wanted to get nursing bra. its expensive but drama queen claim that its the best. then the akak salesgirl ask me to come next month because its too early to get one. she says i might get bigger. hmmmmm. anyway, i went to fabulous mom. bought few too. but the only thing i dont like about that shop is the salesgirls dont know how to help you to choose the best bra for you. u dont know how comfortable is to be in the wrong size. if too tight u cant breathe. if too longar, u will feel your asset jatuh.

so let me know where is the best place to get nursing/maternity bra. i need good place and good salesgirl as well. but mothercare, next month i will come back.

im sorry ladies (& guys if any) for lack of updates. not that im super busy nor i dont have internet at home. well, to you girls, im still reading ur entries btw. just let be honest, i malas gila nak update hokay! heh

so let see, other than gaining approximately 16kilos for the last 6 months, all i can say, ive gained sooo much. i look fat. well, i think my tummy is big. hubby thinks so too. but some ppl ive met complained that i have small tummy. yes, you've got it right, my pinggul is super huge now. that explains im carrying a mini me. opps. it's supposed to be a secret but the whole twitterville has already figure out so y dont i just share the great news to my blog readers. although at some point i feel like im carrying asri jr.

yes, we've found the gender weeks back during detailed scanning. my baby wasnt shy at all, and the dr said , well its obvious u're carrying a girl. look, here's the l*bia. well, i dont want to comment much nanti tetibe keluar anak lelaki, nanti org ingat anak jantan aku ada l*bia pulak. lol.

yes, ive made a list. i couldnt believe my eyes, there are sooooo many things i want. and whenever we went to the malls, we ended buying nothing. because at some point, i think some of the stuff are unnecessary. plus, i couldnt tawaf the mall like i used to. balik rumah kaki sakit. pinggang sakit. lepas tuh depress. lepas tuh asyik makan je. heh.

oh, remember, someone told me to get breast pump only AFTER u hv delivered. lepas tuh dalam group facebook kate, get the breastpump BEFORE u deliver. okay my main concern, what if no milk?or what if milk tak boleh produce- you see not everyone is as lucky as some of you. some got normal n*pples. some got flat n*pples. some got inverted n*pples. so, dont simply cakap, oh tak kuat semangat tuh pasal tak breastfeed anak. well, you are wrong makcik. anyway, since im in the not so lucky category, at first i think its better to get the pump after i have delivered. yelah, breastpump yang nak dibeli ni aint cheap. but then i need to think positive lah kan. so i was thinking to get freestyle (medela fs).

from what ive heard, uk is out of stock. (any uk ppl can get back to me on this?) i would love to buy from u uk ppl as long as the price is lower than 1200. if not, i prefer to get the fs dekat sini jela. surprisingly, fs costs from 1399 (that is w/o warranty if im not mistaken to 1999 (extra 2bottles and a thermometer) and some shops are selling more than 2k. okay, nak pengsan? sila.

tell me, is it worth it? because we have already allocate some money on this, yang lain perhaps beli murah jela. mummy and daddy dah kopak, sayang, heh.

Hello ladies,

I believe the first trimester was okay for me despite pening-pening most of the time. muntah every morning, afternoon, evening, night. lapar 24/7. feeling bloated. moody. feeling everything becoming so big. phew. i'm glad i have hubby with me all the time. sometimes i do not know how you ladies, who are far away from your husband. how do you even managed to survive? i know, i can't.

Seriously, I can't really remember what had happen during my first trimester. I remember I had to have heavy breakfast. Like roti canai telur 2 keping (sometimes 3 keping). And I stopped taking coffee since the day 1 I found out that I'm pregnant. (I miss drinking coffee!!!) And I dont fancy malls. Not even shopping. One thing for sure, I fancy food so much. Guess that explains how fat I am right now.

One thing I have learnt during pregnancy is to appreciate your own mothers. It's not easy. If you think it's easy- I must say, lucky you! I try to spend time with my family during weekends, because since I haven't got the key to our house, we stay at in laws during weekdays. It's like 10 mins away from work btw. Alhamdulillah, I feel like staying at my own home when I'm with them.

(Oh the baby is kicking!)

I believe that the first trimester starts from Week 1 to Week 13. I remember during my second visit with my gyane- I can hear the baby's heart beating. Before that boleh nampak kantung je. hahaha. It was the most amazing feeling. I was like, eh, I'm actually going to be a Mother!!!

To all mothers who are currently expecting, welcome on board. Don't you think we are so lucky to have something growing inside our womb? Masyaallah. Allah is Great.

i still remember a list i made prior to my wedding. a list for my sister and myself ; whom to pay, what to get, where to put, where to buy, etc- and at some point i knew i can't rely on the list. it's too detail. and sometimes can be a bit confusing.

now, i'm in the midst of making one for my little one. what to buy. what to get. what to borrow. what to ask. so many things to remember and i can't digest everything! for instance, i want to get the breast pump from medela- but then i was told to get it ONLY AFTER u gave your birth. i want to get a nice stroller my little one- but then there are soooooo many to choose from and all i can think of is this concord neo. plus, i can get the stroller and the baby carrier at a "cheaper" price which is pretty reasonable but pretty "expensive" too. yes, i'm a mom-zilla now. and clothes...yes, we've done our little window shopping but have yet to buy anything.

this thursday shall be my next check up with dr seri. and i hope we can know by now whether we're expecting a girl or a boy. nanti senang lah mommy nak shopping kan?

don't worry. we wont be spending that much. heh

masa pergi check up dekat kpj (sekali je) dr ada bagi few samples, satu lagi similac- tak cuba pon. ada sesiapa pernah cuba?

now, ive been an avid drinker of enfamama a+. sedap gila i tell you. my mak yang paksa minum ni. hihi. kalau sesiapa yang pernah minum sustagen zaman kecik2 dulu, mesti tahu betapa sedapnya susu ini and comfirm tak muntah or rasa loya. plus, my niece pon ambil enfalac; now enfagrow so all these enfamama, enfalac, enfagrow, sustagen sumer under one company.

yes, i guarantee you, kalau dulu tak suka minum susu, sure lepas ni akan macam "ketagih" minum susu. hihihi.

selalunya pagi, saya ambil dengan nestum or quacker oat nak bagi perut kenyang sikit. kalau tak pening2...and malam pon ambil, kadang2 tgh hari time weekends pon ambil.

apparently, i have received a lot of emails from my readers. i am so sorry because i took such a long time to reply..and to those yang belum dapat my reply, tunggu ya. oh please blame my mailbox. some of your mails went down to the spam folder. i'll figure out something soon. i promise.

i didn't know i've got so many loyal readers out there. its scary, sometimes. first, i didn't know who you are. "you" can be anyone. my friends, my haters, my husband's friends' wives, my sister's friend..or you can be anonymous. yes, for me, it's scary. i want people to know my thoughts but at the same time i want to leave some of the thought private.

i love weddings. no. i love my wedding. i can brag about it until some of you eventually ask me to stop. (well, nobody ask me yet) yes, i love to brag. that is one of my hobbies.

and remember my post on how i miss being skinny. i don't mind being fat when i'm pregnant. yes, i do mind being fat when i'm not pregnant. okay, bahasa saya agak tunggang langgang di situ. my point is- i tak kisah berisi sebab saya mengandung. get me? to those yang jual produk pelangsingan badan...please. i don't need one. yeah, sounds very sombong kan? but yes, no i don't need your product. i know whom to call or to look for IF i ever need one.

as for now, i'm enjoying my life to the fullest. i eat like nobody business. no more, nasi lemak satu bungkus. now, i can even finish empat nasi lemak bungkus.

ive also started reciting all the surahs (refer my entry on amalan semasa mengandung)...and alhamdulillah, my in laws just got back from umrah. so far, ive got tonnes of kurma nabi di rumah.

i can't wait to know my baby's gender. my next check up involve detailed scan. hopefully my baby tak malu2 lah nanti. i also got friends yang dah masuk bulan 7 baru tahu gender baby. lama jugak kan? nevertheless, doesnt matter lah if my baby a boy or a girl. apa yang saya inginkan semogo anak yang bakal lahir nanti seorang yang sihat, menyenangi kedua ibu bapanya, dan apa shj benda2 yang baik yang pernah anda semua terfikir.

eating (&drinking) during pregnancy

i will try to avoid food that "orang tua" said not good. for example. durian. i love durian so much. during my first trimester, i ask hubby to look for mangoes and later i found out the kedai got 4bakul besar durin and there was this group makan the whole bakul. i know it wouldnt harm my baby kalau i makan seulas, the thing is ive always one more than sebiji (not seulas). then ive decided no to taste the durian at all. plus, i dont have weird cravings pon.

then there were this time, i craved like hell for tapai. but the tapai has to be done by makngah. oh my- the tapai she did during my engagement and my nikah were superb. makngah balut the tapai dalam daun kecik---not sure what daun..but it tasted so good. small..and you can have like hundreds of tapai. okay, im exaggerating. then, mom said tapai not good, sebab kalau makan badan panas...but i did try eating it dekat satu kedai ni..tapi tak sedap lgsg..ala ambil dalam 2 butir nasi je. lepas tuh terus dah stop mengidam tapai. lol.

as for coffees- i mmg tak ambil lgsg. plus, it was me (in family) who started saying that "kopi boleh buat kulit hitam" hahaha. of course that is a lie..but for you yang memang rajin baca buku pasal kehamilan, you will notice food that has caffeine better kite avoid. yes you can take, but in moderate way. i love coffee, who doesnt kan?

then i heard ppl saying you cant take raw food..contoh paling dekat> sushi. i dont like sushi at all- so i'm not complaining. haha

i love mangoes so much and ive always ended up ordering two mango juices whenever i eat at al rawsha or wadi hadramawt. and i loveeee pink guava juices. harituh, dekat my page ada orang kata soya bean boleh buat baby ada eczema. i think bukan baby..its more like a long term effect. of course sapa taknak dapat baby putih kan? anyway, to mommies ut there rajin2 lah berdoa dan membaca surah yusof jka inginkan anak anda mempunyai rupa paras yang baik. insyaallah akan dimakbulkan.

and im now a big fan of enfamama a+. please dont take anmum sebab tak sedap langsung. bau pon dah meloyakan. sesiapa yang pernah minum sustagen, susu enfamama a+ ni sebijik rasanya macam sustagen. sedap yo! my doc cakap kalau ambil susu, boleh selang selikan ambil calcium lactate. even kalau kita rasa kuat, kita boleh selang seikan ambil obimin and folic acid. just make sure you're eating well. sesiapa yang makan seciput, yang tak makan sayur, yang tak makan fruits, yang tak minum susu, yang asyik muntah2 je...dont skip your medicine intake ok.

untuk buah pulak, my favourite buah currently are buah delima and kurma. delima dan kurma adalah 2 buah yang disebut di dalam al-quran. buah delima ini adalah antara buah yang ada di syurga. kalau nak makan (esp untuk org mengandung) , buah ni khas untuk seorang je. sebab khasiat dia ada satu di antara yang lain. my advice, pergi cold storage beli buah ni for rm19.99. merah menyala, juicy and sedap gile. so far bekalan buah delima saya sentiasa ada. thanks kumak!

im so excited for my next check up. tapi lama lagi.. next check up buat detailed scan. hopefully, anakku dapat menunjukkan tanda2 jantinanya nanti. hehehe

i miss being skinny.

i used to be skinny. rupa macam orang tak makan...when i was back in uni, my roommates called me "papan lapis". but the truth is i eat like nobody business. u can see me munching all kinds of food. name it..nasi, fruits, chocolates, pizzas.

i know when you're pregnant, you are far from being skinny. you tend to eat more than usual. sometimes, u think you are already full, but your mind says- no, eat some more. good for your baby. lol

and everything on me gets bigger. so long my favourite clothes. and finding the right maternity clothes is hard. no scratch that. finding the beautiful maternity clothes is hard. i'm glad my parents and husband constantly buy me good stuff. ive got comfy shoes now, got my comfy pants. and do you know what they actually mean by comfy? "ugly". everything looks ugly on me. and thank god, mom just bought me leggings and they were size L. yes. i think back in my days, i can fit an xs. okay, i lied. and oh..i just love my dorothy perkins and warehouse tops.

i find tunic with empire cutting really flatter my body. chewah. i haven't got the time to snap a recent photo of myself. will do when i think the time is appropriate. in the meantime, ayureq just got back from europe. and i know how cheap these baby stuff dekat sana. okay, can someone shop for me or should i give shopship an email to do so?

yes, i know its too early to get baby stuff but i seriously cannot tahan anymore. hahaha

sorry ladies, ive been MIA. not that i was totally missing- no, not busy- just too lazy to post anything here. and dont think anyone missing me here.

alhamdulillah. so far so good. i love my dr. at least she took some notes where we live, where we work, why i chose this hospital to deliver- so at least we can chit lotsa stuff rather than just my pregnancy.

ive started taking iberet folic since day 1, (actually i took it way before that because ive always pening2 and pengsan-years before) then did the blood test- thanks to iberet folic- my darah seems "better" now. oh, ive been eating very well too. i'm still avoiding those "kuah" type of food. then i just take the folic acid. then obimin. then calcium lactate. then neurogain. ive started taking milk as well. (have to paksa lah) and only god knows when the last time i actually taste real coffee. other than the myth saying your baby will turn "coklat" -lol, i believe coffee makes my body extra ber"angin". hehe.well, good for you if you're ok with coffee. and erhm, pink guava juice has been my number one drink besides plain water. i was crazy about pink guava juices during my beijing trip.

oh, my tummy is showing. i love it. too bad that i cant wear my favourite jeans anymore. and my goodness have you cekidaud modernmum's jeans? bleurgh. okay, i know gap sells maternity jeans-tapi dekat malaysia ade ke?

apparently, some says i look double compared to the one during my nikah. hmmmmm. takpalah, i know ive been eating like there's no tomorrow. i love nasi so much. and i can actually habis the whole chicken mandy dekat alrawsha alone. hmmmm.

i love nasi so much. sometimes i wish every single meal ada nasi. and most of the time i wish i stay with my parents. syok gila, bila balik seremban, mak masak macam2. kesian orang lain kene ikut tekak orang mengandung. heh

so far, i cannot eat anything berkuah. kalau berkuah it has to be super spicy. baby loves spicy food so much. i have to eat something with chillies once a day. kalau tak, lemah je badan. ramai org cakap, abeslah-anak kau panas baran nanti.

although baru nak masuk 3 bulan, i think i can see my baby bump. although husband asyik cakap, i yang bam bam. whatever that is-last month i tried my baju kahwin, and i can still fit in perfectly.now, rasanya tak boleh zip kot.

i ada muntah sikit2-ala muntah kuning tu. mmg kalau makan lambat sikit, mesti tekak ni loya semacam. batuk sikit,lepas tuh muntah. kalau gosok gigi pagi2 je mesti muntah. hehe.

so far, so good. kalau ibu mengandung ni tak mengada2 rasanya takde masalah kot. oh, i need to find super comfy shoes. pergelangan kaki ni macam cepat sangat membesar je. kaki jangan cakaplah, sakit sakit je sepanjang masa. nasib baik husband urutkan tiap2 hari.

nikah

ive bought this at jalan masjid india (depan jakel, next to ariani ada kedai buku agama). dapat diskaun sebab beli banyak. 2 days before my nikah, sisters, cousins aunts helped to ikat the riben. i just love the idea in giving favours like this masa nikah/sanding/aqiqah.

seremban reception

these are the boxes i used to place the cadbury chocs. different colours, same sizes.

for meja beradab, my sister bought this box- lepas tu i letak eclairs and different flavours of mini jam. that mini jam beli di tesco. lepas tuh letak kertas and reben.

kl reception

as ive mentioned thousand of times, hubby bought the ferreros dekat langkawi (sila jangan tanya lagi.lol) if you guys malas nak beli di langkawi yang murah sgt harganya, you can buy in bulk dekat dksh (pj) tapi discount dlm 20% from actual price.

lepas tuh, for meja beraab, we bought the patchi chocs. untung orang vvip and my parents. hehehe.

in law tempah bahulu -sedap gila i tell you. siap dalam bekas lagi. quite cheap. dan sedappp!

hello 2nd trimester!

ive got an appointment with my gynae next week. i was told its better if we are well prepared with questions. and - er, apparently i have none. ive been reading a lot of info from magazines, books and internet. and so far ive been receiving good testimonials from her previous patients. all i want is a normal delivery despite what size my baby is. (okay dont start with anything can happen-duh)

and ive been an avid eater of acid folic - although i eat like no other business- and everything is getting bigger ..hahah my body stays in shape. lol okaylah, perasan, but im not overweight. now, i have no trouble in accepting normal food. i miss wearing my skinny jeans. and i miss my caramel macchiato as well- and i follow all these "pantang". yes, no matter what you say- i didnt take coffee eversince ive found im pregnant. plus, coffee membuat perutku berangin. i also cant accept milk as well- but maybe kene start lah minum kan? (entah bila) i enjoy munching dates and raisins.

i havent check out any baby stuff yet. too soon. but i know what to get -lol. and i definitely need a "baby bag". hahahaha

would you consider a wedding dress rental? i've posted something about renting my wedding dresses- unfortunately i was referring to my kl and melaka reception dresses particularly. i have decided on the actual renting cost based on 20% of the total cost (plus you have to include my dry cleaning cost at the jeeves- one dress for dry cleaning not including the veil&tudung is about rm300. so let me know how much you are willing to rent because i was told to rent up to FIVE times only sebab lepas tuh, baju tuh pon dah jadi buruk (thats why i have to sent to the jeeves).

ive received some sweet mails from you lovely readers, but you need to let me know your price. if its not even close, i will inform you. like ive said before- this IS for serious people only.

i can assure you the baju from the kl & melaka reception is a lot cheaper. send me an email if you are around 165-170cm. no alterations can be done ye. yes, i will let you rent altogether from head to toe.

okay, maybe i wasnt really serious about renting my nikah and seremban reception because those two worth so much, but do drop me an email. yes, im about to put a highly ridiculous amount and at one point you will roar back at me saying "lebih baik aku tempah terus dekat designer sahaja". hahaha. *gelak jahat*

appreciating

I know I missed my parents terribly when I first moved out. I began to appreciate my mom & dad even more because I didn’t see them all the time but I knew they were always there. I have found that once you move out of your family home that the relationship with your parents can change for the better.

Yes, today is just one of the days where I miss both of them terribly. I know, I've just met them yesterday (i see them during weekends and any day during my dad's dialysis day). Sometimes, I just wish I am not yet married but that is impossible. I love them as much I love my husband. It's good to know that my hubby too, loves spending time with my parents.

I am so blessed to have my family around me all the time. And I am very much blessed to have a very loving in laws as well. Alhamdulillah.

My advice, our parents are only here for a short time and we should take advantage of every opportunity to share and spend time with them.

I think I haven't done enough but at least I try to make some time for them. I hope you do the same too.

during my1st trimester, i can not stand any type of biscuits. it seems i loathe anything associated to biscuits or cookies. macam kalau nampak, rasa nak termuntah waktu itu jugak. okay, im exaggerating. i was digging my folder- thinking what to write (lol) and found these photos. it makes me...uuuuuuu waaaaaaa.

this is my favourite biscuits/cookies- its sweet and tasty (imho). i think i gotta have this since im already entering my 2nd trimester. alhamdulillah. so fast kan? apparently my baby is a september baby! i know she is far away from having the same birth date as her mummy, but somehow i want her to pop out masa my niece birthday. hihihi.

akad nikah (/solemnization) was the highlight of my wedding. my french lace cost us a bomb- we ask the sa to keep it once we confirmed our engagement. so we kinda keep it for almost a year and bayar sikit-sikit. yes, you heard me right. we pay in installments. crazy kan? as for me, i'm not into french heavy beaded lace. i know the reason why mom choose kirana is because kirana is the guru of the beading. yes. she is the master of all beading. you should check her bridal collections- i almost cry looking at how detail the work is. so, if you are appreciate these things, get solstiss french lace and ask kirana to do the most awesome baju nikah ever.

i know my design is a bit repetitive. you can see soooo many brides wearing almost the same design. of course- it was inspired by grace kelly's wedding dress. it was a dream come true when kirana agrees to do with some lil adjustments here and there. although at some point im torn with baju kurung pahang. yes, you can never go wrong with baju tradisional. but its my wedding- and i want baju macam grace kelly.

oh i have saved a lot of gambar baju nikah but at some points i can only remember a few- you know why? because i cant take them out from my head. of course these are from the real wedding brides. some i know from the blogging world- some i dont. but, in case you need ideas how a baju nikah should look like...i have saved some of them that i think the designs are superb.

everything abt her akad nikah was so perfect. carcosa+najeeb+syaiful+qippy=perfecto

attires by syaiful baharim. her shoes are TDF. her baju is one of my fav! tell me, have u seen this design before? i have not!

niki had al rawsha to cater her akad nikah. how cool is that? i wouldnt want to share my lamb mandy if i were to hire al rawsha. hehe.she had chiavari chairs..attires by cosry. that veil is OH-MY-G!

imho, this is THE design that never goes out of style. its simple and its beautiful. i always saved up syomir's beautiful designs in my folder but never had a courage to give him a call. can somebody tell me how much he charges roughly? dont start with 2k and above because the last time i had him to quote for a baju he gave me a starting 4k number. anyway, good news ladies, tahirah is planning to rent out her wedding dresses. do visit her blog k?

another baju by the talented syomir izwa. the bride herself pon mmg dah lawa sangat plus the baju..i love the detailing he did. i remember asking syomir how much is this baju and he quoted 3k++. hm. okayla, pretty reasonable because there arent much beading works done. a good job because she didnt choose the white coloured type of baju nikah. plus, this is one of my fav colour-thats why she's in my list.

i'm sure there are a lot more- but all i can say these are the baju that i still remember until today. i will try to godek my hard disc and will write another entry on beautiful baju nikah-part 2 (iA). in the mean time, let me know if you have found any beautiful baju nikah and please share with me.

contact lenses and makeup remover

okay i have to admit i am no expert in this. i dont wear contact lenses. apparently, my eyes masih elok dan tidak memerlukan pemakaian spec atau lenses. anyhowwwwwww, if nak cantik (for mekap) pakailah contact lense ye.

i still remember masa tunang dulu, my mua asyik cakap, kalau ada contact lense lagi cantik. i was like - eh takpelah, i memang tak pakai lense langsung. and i keep telling him nanti tak nampak natural lah apelah. plus i still believe in my big brown eyes. he he he

so, masa nak kahwin tuh, a week before my nikah i gave sue and najeeb a call asking them whether i should beli contact lenses ke tak- because at that time i kept on reading others' entries cakap its better to use contact lenses... hm.. and oh boy, both of them said yes, and tell me which brand and colour i should go for.

as for nikah (home) najeeb wanted me to have misty gray by freshcon. for my home reception , sue wanted me to get gray by freshlook colourblends. and for kl reception, sue wanted me to get sterling gray by freshlook. seeeeeeee..nak beli 3 different colours for 3 different events. and jangkahayat contact lenses tuh hanya sebulan, and god knows how scared i am tiap kali nak pakai contact lenses.. duh!

i think the cheapest you can get is at ampang park- rm53 (freshlook)..sebab yg satu lagi freshlook i beli dekat alamanda dalam rm70. im sure you can a lot cheaper kalau beli banyak kot.

anyway, i ended buying gray (fresh look) and sterling gray (fresh look) sebab fresh con takda stock. lol. i have no idea if there is/are any diff but- this freshlook brand (my sil cakap) memang tak terasa pon macam pakai contact lense. very soft. in fact banyak kali jugak terlipat- sebab mata pengantin asyik berkelip2 je. hihihih.

so, i used gray for nikah , my reception and malam berinai. and as for sterling gray i used during kl reception and melaka reception. p/s sebenarnya tersilap sepatutnya sterling gray tu pakai waktu malam berinai sebab waktu malam better pakai sterling gray- but i got confused (and scared too) masa nak pakai lense.heheheh

in photos, i didnt see any unusual with my eyes except i felt pretty. LOL.

do consider wearing coloured contact lenses if you are getting dolled up :)

oh, as for make up remover- i contacted najeeb and ask which makeup remover i should go for. i need it badly sebab nanti masa kahwin banyak kali pakai mekap and my face mmg tak pernah jaga pon. the last thing i wanna do is to destroy my face by using makeup remover yang tak elok. najeeb said the one by loreal is fine. and i tak tahu yg mana satu die maksudkan but i use this.

its cheap and it works like magic. i love it so much. my face takde berlaku breakout ke ape. yes, go and get it!

after looking at my nikah's photos- i think i am amazed how calmed i was on that day. daniel zain (the photographer) kept reminding me to smile- so maaaaany things in my head (thats what najeeb told me) u know what ladies, in case you're preparing yours right now- remember to pass some jobs to your sisters or cousins or friends. yea we know how bridezilla u are but remember it's your day. u dont want to know all the details. i remember at some point najeeb asked me to sit and not to go anywhere because i keep looking for my cousins to check on my hantaran. and the food. and the doorgifts. seriously, it was really tiring. tapi syok gila, sebab everything u plan for, memang berlaku. alhamdulillah.

i know u are tired with my photos, but as i said millions time before- im glad i took najeeb azami as my mua for my nikah. and thanks to the wonderful dramaqueen for recommending him :)

i just love how he dolled me up..and i ended up looking like myself! tak tukar langsung. he knows how to pakaikan tudung as well. yes, apa lagi. hire him!

Reception at Dewan Perdana Felda

the reception took place after 6 days we've got married. after my reception in Seremban, we spent 3d2n at Avillion PD. a memorable experience, but if u ask me, i will go again if we got the deal from matta fair only. the only fabulous experience was the spa. and that's all. nothing special. oh maybe the pet farm. the food was so-so. beach was dirrrty.

for this reception - everything was prepared by the in laws. the food was fabulous. we attended the food testing like 2 weeks prior to the event. so we've got to pick which dish we love. the ikan was really good. and there was udang too kan? entahla, i cant remember well what they served that night because there were vvips at our table and i have to be super polite although we were pretty hungry at that time. and maybe some of you not a big fan of the tapai with ice-cream, but that actually is one of my favourite. (note: i was told not to take tapai during pregnancy..and thats mean i have to "puasa tapai" almost a year. dont invite me to your wedding if you serve tapai okay!) anyway, to those who came that night, thank you very much and i hope you do enjoy the food as much as i did. felda d saji is one of the best caterer so jangan banyak songeh ye. hahaha

on that particular day (26th november 2010) we had a rehearsal monitored by abah's former staff. lucky, we had them because each of them knew what to do. all we need to do was to follow the cues..like this song abc is when we walk from here to here. yes, i guess you guys faced the same thing too if you were having a seated manner event.

worst come to worst, it started raining around 7-ish at that time. and traffic was reaaaaally bad on fridays. i cant really remember if we started on time but we were pretty ready around 8pm. we need to wait for the vvips for photo session.

i was dolled up by non other than the fabulous sue cantik. and our attires by jeffriey ibrahim. decorations were done by pak ngah onn. the bouquet im holding was a gift from que ariffin. caterer as i mentioned before was the in house caterer; felda d saji. and entertainer was bali-bali. photographer was daniel zain (and arif) and the videographers was abg sabirin, his son, then got another 2 abang whom until now i cant remember their names. heh. we've got live feeds thats why ramai videographers on that night.

i think they spoilt my entrance song. i love kasih (by hetty koes endang) but the way the akak sang made my heart burnt. lol. tell me if u had the same entertainer. but some of the songs they sang were pretty okay.

when i look at my photos, i can see that i was looking at the floor most of the time. i know its weird, but i was very shy! this event is totally different from my seremban reception because i knew who were my guests.

oh can you see hubby's baju was a bit bigger? we've only got to see the baju a day before and it was BIG! itupun lepas alter. well, we cant complain now, right?

we didnt get any real cake- yes the ever famous dummy cake from dewan perdana felda. lol

untuk wedding favours pulak, hubby got the guests ferrero rochers and patchi choc for the vvips.

the event ended right after our cake cutting ceremony lepas tuh we had to salam all the guests. yes, i had the best time of my life (again).

i've got tons of things to share but i do not know where to start. i know i should stop writing abt weddings - but i cant help it. i love weddings. no, i love *MY* wedding. (see , i cannot help it).

and i know i should start writing something abt my pregnancy journey (lol) but there are sooooo many things to share. and im sure u know by now that mums are a bit sensitive. kang aku kata stroller abc lagi bagus dari stroller xyz, ada pulak yang emo. and dont start with susu botol. or kes pasal nak fully breastfeed anak ke tak. im sure every mothers want the best for their child. so please whenever i start writing my opinion on these brands, please please dont condemn ..or at least just tell me who you are and stop being anonymous.

oh and another info- ive got an email recently asking where am i staying. really? u wanna know? it seems my house belum dapat cf and im not sure why the majlis perbandaran take such a long time to settle such issue. aiyo, rumah dah siap lama dah and my dad told us to get the pagar done first before we can move in. and if possible he wants us to stay at the new house after i deliver. hurm. maybe dad has a point there but we'll see. but to answer your question, we still stay under ketiak ibu bapa. nak bayar progress interest lagi, lepas tuh nak sewa rumah? gilo ke ape.

oh and why the kids stuff so expensive nowadays? everything IS SO EXPENSIVE. okaylah, maybe the stuff im eyeing for are good brands. but its still early to get anything. im not into shopping recently (really?) and i dont feel like melaram when i go out. sometimes i feel such a waste to get that guccissima sukey ... don't worry this thing wont last long. ive been bugging hubby to get me a "baby bag" but let see- if we are to spend so much im sure we will eat telur goreng with nasi putih for the rest of our lives. lol.

i have a secret to tell you, btw. i know im not a good mum- ive said this like millions time. but the first time i knew i was pregnant. i wasnt really happy. i know im not a tough person. i've always want to settle down (with career) first but at times i feel so lucky because i know quite a number of friends are still trying for years. so, sometimes i feel so blessed. I know Allah plan something for us in the future. like everyone says - rezeki itu datang berbeza-beza. and i know ive got the best for Him.

seriously - is this how you write an email asking about something?

"i rasa mekap yang u rekemen dekat blog u tu takdelah cantik sangat, tapi boleh bagi no telefon dieorg tak"

"mahal tak deco you tuh? thanks-tolong reply ye"

"baju you i nak sewa, tapi i nak alter, boleh? sebab i tak berapa tinggi"

first and foremost, before you write an email to somebody you hardly know, please, please, please do your homework. for example, if you need xx contact number, please google first and if you cant find xx phone number please ask nicely. and do you expect me to reply your email if you condemn what ive wrote in my blog? nice! and never ever ever push someone to reply your email. first, we don't get paid for recommending these people. if this is my fulltime job, im happy to reply your email at once.

same goes, when you're asking quotation from vendor abc. you need to indicate your full name. your wedding. time and place. your contact number. then the person will have motivation to reply your email. plus he will know whether he's still available on your date or not.

and please, dont come back and roaring back at me if you happen to hire the same person ive hired and the outcome is not the same.

baby gender prediction

i feel like i'm carrying a baby girl because, er- i feel like having one. okay, maybe (just maybe) it's too early to tell. i dont have any preference- really- but i wish i have a mini me in the future. i'm not sure whether i will be a good mummy. i'm good with kids, but not babies. i have no idea how to bath a baby, and what if i can't breastfeed my own baby, or what if i don't enough money to provide all the good things in the world. *baby, mummy knows that she has to work really hard from now on* but i don't mind having a mini husband as well. i'm sure im gonna deliver a smart baby just like his daddy- insyaallah.

at first this guy cakap harga satu balang eclairs dalam rm 14 (or maybe less- not sure). so i said i nak banyak, and will pay cash (money bank in on the same day) and pick up sendiri all those kotak. i'm sure if you get it dekat langkawi lagi murah kot and i wasnt a good negotiator. u can nego. of course, the more u buy, the more discount u'll get. hint: hubby beli ferrero banyak gila for the guests dekat dewan perdana felda. super cheap i tell you, tapi nak kena pergi langkawi lah..heh

my friend got herself the chocolate bars as the wedding favour. tak silap, less than rm2 kot. but of course dia beli banyak gila.

invitation card

i had two cards during my solemnization & home reception. i told mum all i need is a cheap card. plus, we aren't going to invite that many- so my advise, u don't have to go overboard with the invitations. unless, of course, u want to make a statement.

get everything in bulk

i went to cadbury factory to get my eclairs. i didn't make that much homework but got this guy number from a friend -i save a lot than buying the eclairs itself from tesco or any other hypermarkets. as for hubby, he went to langkawi to get thousands of ferrero. yes, murah gila. and my bunga pahar is so cheap and sometimes i don't know why people tend to get the expensive ones. if you do have vvip coming, just get like 10 je. or else, just standardize with everyone, i don't think the vvips will keep any of your bunga pahar. heh

cake

if you check on my previous entry, i did mention that my family made the pulut kuning. sedap dan jimat dan cantik. (heh). and ive got myself the secret recipe cake je for the sake of having a cake cutting ceremony. sometimes you just have to cut the budget for other stuff.

photographer

hiring a professional photographers can be expensive. if you like someone , ask him / her if there are any shoot and burn packages. i'm sure the album can wait- wait till at least you are financially stable (after the wedding) hint: my all time favourite daniel zain. have u seen the photos he shoot for me?

anyway, for me the only thing YOU CANNOT BE A CHEAPSKATE is when it comes to FOOD. Hello, you wanted people to come to your wedding, but you serve them lousy food? that is wedding don't NO 1. Don't you know a full stomach makes a happy heart. Yes, spend all your money on that!

just heavenly cakes

i am always a fan of desserts. from traditional kuihs to cakes to cendol..oh u name it. but during this 1st trimester, my cravings towards chocolates has lessen. i have to blame the beijing trip. i had soooo much chocolates (because i cant really accept the food, and i need super fast energy) and i guess baby wants mummy to lead a healthy life. lol.

anyway, february is the birth month of my sister & mil. when i was about to get my sister a cake, all i can think of is that red velvet from just heavenly. reason no 1- i have tasted the cake and im loving it so much. 2nd- its very close from hubby's house. i was quite dissapointed because red velvet was sold out on that particular day. dang!

and suddenly i saw the sacher torte that ive got to taste when i met nigel many many months ago. i was so happy and decided to get the cake.

it was good, but u need to wait a while after putting out from fridge. if makan waktu keras, mmg tak feel langsung. a must try if you're a chocolate lover. this thing is much better than the death by chocolate. i have tasted death by chocolate before and i can taste the coffee - and i memang tak suka choc ada taste coffee. hubby said takda coffee langsung, so maybe my taste bud dah jadi lain kot. anyway, since im currently pregnant, mmg makan sikit je cake ni..

for mil's birthday, my sil got her a banana chocolate cake. it was good. choc and banana always a good combo. i however, prefer to eat the banana alone(without the chocolate). a must try too. yes, it is definitely different from secret recipe. taste wise- i think this one better kot?

oh and the famous red velvet? i remember someone dropped a comment in my blog psl red velvet. from just heavenly. i seriously not sure if she's got the whole cake or just the cupcake- but my advice- get the cake- for my tekak it taste so sedap. its just that i cant accept anything cheesy and chocolatey at the mo. hopefully masuk 2nd trimester, everything is back to normal.

that's me during malam berinai. usually malam berinai dibuat sebelah perempuan, tapi ini untuk suka-suka shj,and malam berinai dibuat selepas 2 minggu event di dewan perdana. and the next day pulak reception di melaka(same house). geez, i didnt know it would be soooo much fun lah. besides, the baju im wearing mmg turun temurun since like 20-30 years ago.

then i have to change into another 6 different outfits. (although at first i need to try at least 10..but i beg not to.ha ha ha)

i know im going to miss the moment so much...ada bunga api, mercun...oh..ada silat..kids dancing..merewang...plus bilik dekat kampung pon ada aircond so i have no complain at all :)

I dont know about you, but my family punya style memang duit hantaran tuh akan diberi masa tunang setengah, and balance lagi setengah. the duit hantaran mmg 100% jadi hakmilik tuan empunya blog so i have no complain pon.

And to those yang akan berkahwin (perempuan) di seremban, dan mukimnya di sungai landak, jangan bermimpi lah nak duit mas kahwin lebih rm200. eventhough ur husband mampu nak bagi lebih, tetap ditolak oleh tok imam. but it doesnt matter to me. :) (okaylah, mula2 i was like... HAAAAAAH?)

Im going to share the hantaran done by non other than Que Ariffin himself.

I got him 11 dulang plus one for his sister.

And I'm sure if you are creative enough you can decorate yours as beautiful as these- I don't lie when I say Que did this in less than 1 hour. Memang sungguh pantas.

many have asked about the pregnancy test i've used. yes, the one shown in the previous entry. i first saw the box at pcmc pharmacy, when my sister showed it to me i laughed because it says- 99% accurate- plus the thing will tell you how many weeks already. heh.

anyway, ive got a false alarm somewhere in december- there this one morning, i was so lazy to go to work- my body sakit sana sini proly because ive got 5 events to handle and man, it was really tiring. so, when i got up from the bed ready to perform subuh i felt a bit dizzy and lepas tuh terus nak muntah. u know at some point, u must be thinking- oh im pregnant- but i didnt have that feeling yet. hubby decided to pay a visit to dsh and dr confirmed - im not pregnant- plus its still too early to tell.

all i know im very excited for my beijing trip but hubby bought me 3 different sets of pregnancy test. i asked him to get a cheaper one- because when its negative- there's no need to do so- nanti membazir pulak. but he insisted. so we've bought 3 different ranges- cheapest, cheap, expensive. lol. ayway, i tried the cheapest pregnancy test- and its confirmed negative.

and so weeks passed, and my red flag pon belum overdue- but at some point i have this feeling- like there's something in your stomach. and man, u can tell how much i love food so much and yes, my tummy a bit buncit. ha ha ha. of course its too early to tell and a one fine morning i wake up and did the test.

well, the rest is history. we've kept the big news from everyone lama lah jugak. first we met a dr in ssh and he confirmed there's a kantung inside. so, memang pregnant lah.

oh, bunting pelamin? well, i intend not to discuss but im sure i am not bunting pelamin. *stressed* got my red flag somewhere around my many many events, and in fact based on my edd pon, dr seri said my baby is still small for a 10 week baby. so she guessed it somewhere around 7 to 8 weeks. but who cares, cuma kadang2 i stress jugak- got some friends yang patutnya congratulating - tapi cakap " eh, cepatnya!"

..ish.

anyway, my advice, sometimes, you've just got the feeling that you're pregnant. so take a test a do it. but get a cheaper one lah dulu. ive got mine yg murah (2nd time beli) dekat watson, dlm 4ringgit je. bila confirmed, i buat satu lagi...and bile confirmed lagi baru pakai clearblue tu. heh

dekat pcmc , clearblue lagi murah compared to dsh. i bought clearblue dkt dsh lebih kurang rm34, tapi dekat pcmc lebih murah rasanya dalam rm28-rm29. ada jugak yang dijual 2 pax in one box. i guess that one is roughly rm39. tapi, rasanya dekat pharmacy luar lagi murah kot?

remember my dream to own a sukey in guccissima leather? and macbook pro? and g12? and a dream wedding? and to marry the guy whom ive fall for the last 6 years?

ive got all that last year. i think i had amazing 2010, although it started a bit shaky. dad wasnt really in a good health, but after the dialysis, alhamdulillah,i could say there are a lot of improvement.

and what about 2011? i guess some of you have found out already.. and er, yes, yours truly is expecting. alhamdulillah.

this was taken weeks ago. heh

and er, i remembered an incident occurs years before pasal this blogger commented abt botol susu. and apparently there were some against her and some were not. hahahah, i find that kinda amusing. and funny.

i'm sure in months to come, ill be the one discussing which diaper is better, or which minyak angin is good, or which gynae ive met. lol. and i wonder if some of you can take that.

being pregnant is not easy. and i am constantly craving for mom's cook food. and my mood swings most of the time. well, that is not new. all i can say, mom is constantly asking me to talk nice (with lower tone) to hubby esp, to recite luqman, maryam, yusof, yassin, not to miss any solat, and er, birthing stories are really scary!!!

i am officially a pengantin basi. i guess anything related to my weddings are considered basi. and i know u guys love sending me mails and asking the exact price for dresses , pelamin, make ups, door gifts, etc etc. those standard ones,i bagi tahu lah but some yang macam i tak tahu, i memang tak tahu. so in case u really want to know, ask my vendors please.

ive also heard from my readers that u have hired those whom ive hired during my wedding. thats good, but please bear in mind, one thing u have to remember, its your wedding. dont just assume. if you not sure, please ask. mine might turned out good, but who knows, yours akan jadi lain- so please dont come look for me in the end. u might have trouble with vendor xyz, then be a bridezilla. its your damn money, so work for the outcome. am sure everyone dream a perfect wedding. but bear in mind, your wedding is all about u getting married to your loved one, so everything else is secondary.

there were some flaws during my wedding, but who cares. i had the best time of my life. my friends didnt turn up during my wedding (well, only some, but thank you for coming girls!) and everyone prefers to attend the dewan perdana reception. some mentality memang tak boleh nak diubah, kan? asal sebut hotel/dewan je, mereka consider grand. asal buat dekat rumah je, tak grand. hahaha funny.

grand is very subjective ladies. do you need to break your bank and be all out during your wedding? ouch, who taught u that? please don't. u don't need to follow the trend to be in the circle. if u had a grand wedding, alhamdulillah, but please pasang a good niat. to show off? nauzubillah. please don't. u only have the bragging rights and ppl will only talk about weddings pon paling lama 3 bulan je kot? lepas tuh?

anyway, ive received some photos from my photographers already. and i have time to spare on giving review(good reviews).. in case u need any reviews from me, let me know. i need to start blogging on something else. and im sure many b2bs tak baca blog i dah. ha ha ha. but thank you for the support girls. and welcome to the new readers.

Beijing : Day 1- Part 3 (Final)

Some said my Beijing Trip review terlalu detail. hahaha. nanti masa review day 2,3,4,5 i dah tak buat part 1,2 &3 lagi dah. oh i need to to review our hotel and that travel agency too. well, i will..since they are sooooo damn good, korang tunggu eh? that travel agency mmg highly recommended lah. :)

after we had our lunch at that thai restaurant (yang tak sedap lgsg tu) we went to this place. we've got like 2 hours (to kill time) before the acrobatic show. the good thing abt this travel agency, die takdelah bawak korang shopping je, some travel agency melawat tempat kejap je, tapi shopping je lama. well, some suka la shopping,i suka melawat je.

we were told not to spend here. first, tempat ni tak ramai org dtg. so once ada tourist, dia akan tarik je kita masuk kedai ni. and sini tak boleh tawar sangat. kesimpulannya sini shopping tak best lgsg. so kalau dtg sini, jgn beli apa2. hahahah

but, i ended up beli ugg boots and ugg slippers (sbb dekat malaysia tak tahu nak pakai bila) kualiti bagus, but of course tak ori. hahaha. murah la. hm, kaau pandai tawar, murah. tak pandai tawar, korang bayarlah lebih. heh

hubby and i spent our time dalam kedai kecik cinonit 2 tingkat ni kejap je, lepas tuh jalan2 dekat luar ambil gambar.

next stop, we went to the beijing theater. acrobatic show was fuuuun!

then we went here for dinner. sedap gila. i managed to eat 3-4 dishes la dekat sini. plus, we've got the bilik and it was verrry comfortale. kesian, tour group lain (bukan our tour group) makan dekat luar, it was very hectic and bising.

oh we reached hotel dalam pukul 10 mcm tu, beijing punye traffic teruk gila, although they have 4 lanes, tapi disebabkan kereta super banyakk, aiyoyo lame jugak dalam bas.

we were the only malaysian group yang stay situ. from what ive heard most travel agencies they will place u dekat hotel nama cina. mine is MERCURE Beijing HOTEL. The hotel is very close to Beijing International School, takdelah tengah bandar but they place is very decent, clean. It is a 4 star LOCAL hotel (our tour guide cakap 5 star local, entahla) dia macam tahap royal bintang dekat the curve tuh la.. but since the hotel is new, we had no complaint at all.

disebabkan penat yang teramat sangat, lepas mandi terus pengsan. heh.

I'm sorry for taking such a long time to update on the second part- I tried to find our itinerary tapi macam hilang je. So, forgive me if in this post I tak ingat nama kedai ke, masjid ke, pasar ke, eh? lagipun this was a month ago. heh

Okay next stop after taking photos dekat olympic beijing stadium & water cube, we went straight to the tea house.

Next stop : Dr.Tea

We got to taste three different types of teas; Lychee Tea, Pu Er Tea & Oolong Tea. Pu Er Tea kalau simpan tea die lagi lama lagi banyak kahsiat. There are ways to drink those 3 teas. I'm not good in putting that into words-so why dont u just read those information from google. Hahahaha

Well sampai je dekat situ, they will bring you to a room (as for my parents, since they travel 2 org je, dulu ada satu macam orang besar dekat situ yang personally entertain mereka, and why? because package tuh lagi mahal. hahahaha) Okay, so ada 4orang gads akan berada di dalam satu bilik dan sorang je yang akan bercakap. hm, english dieorg agak funny sikit but understandable. oh my tip : nak beli tea boleh, tapi jangan beli benda merepek macam teapot and pee pee boy atau pun mug yang bila letak air panas keluar gambar tianmen square ke, panda ke great wall ke. dekat pasar silk street murah gilaaaa. well, i didnt buy anything (as usual).

oh, and these girls (tak kisahla dekat kedai mana pun, tapi semua cina ini) memang agak pushy. they will follow around you, or they will non stop asking "why you don't want to buy this". kalau takut nak say no, tunjuk je muka ketat. it works for me- everytime. heheheh. or just cakap "wo pu yaw". senang cakap melayu pon ok, the paham few words especially words macam murah, mahal, nak beli, diskaun, hahahaha

Next stop : Masjid Madian

Disebabkan waktu kami pergi memang merata orang melayu sana sini, tempat makan pon penuh je waktu lunch, our group decided solat dulu lah. lagipun dah masuk waktu. even though waktu sama je macam dekat malaysia, tapi dekat beijing zuhur die macam pukul 12.15 dah masuk. dekat kawasan masjid memang ramai chinese muslim. so anything yang dijual adalah halal.- its just the matter you are willing to eat ke tak. lol macam dekat masjid madian nih ada jual kacang. org turki yang buat- so u can buy. sedap orang kata- saya prefer macam coklat yang dibawa dari malaysia.. kehkehkeh

Beautiful mosque, isn't it? Those tok siak can speak a bit of malay words macam mandi, derma, tandas. hahahah. and ada lady jaga masa kite ambil wudhu'. anything u need just ask her. tai guna 4 perkataan ni shj. wudhu'. tandas. mandi. solat. yang lain die agak blur.

Next stop: Makan

We went to a Thai Restaurant. It's Halal, tapi fyi, dekat sini macam meang serve halal food but they also serve liquor. certain mazhab minum sebab sejuk sgt and they served for non muslim ppl. tapi untuk makanan jgn risau.memang halal.

This place is the worst place ive been to. not because tempat kotor ke. tapi tak sedap langsung. memang tak sedap langsung. ada 10 jenis lauk. i makan 2 je. telur dadar and ikan sambal tapi bukan sambal. nasib baik lah nasi dia sedap gila. oh i love beijing's rice. macam pulut2 sikit.

as you can see takda orang lain pon dekat kedai ni, sebab semuapon sudah dtg waktu peak hours. kitaorg pon makan agak lambat jugak nak elak ramai org.

Beijing : Day 1- Part 1

I spent five cold days in Beijing and it was my very first visit to China. The people are so welcoming though the food can be a bit tasteless (hubby had no trouble at all finishing all the food!). We were verrry fortunate to make a few new friends along the trip. And oh- did I mention I had the most amazing tour group ever? yes, thanks to Apple Vacations (Muslim Tour), we flew to Beijing with another 16 people (a couple + 2 families (each family got 7 members in it)). We instantly felt like we flew to Beijing with our families (I miss my family terribly at that time) and yes darlings- Beijing is sooooo wonderful!

We left Malaysia via Malaysia Airlines on 21st December 2010 and reached Beijing roughly at 5.45 am on the next day. I slept along th journey- woke up few times- they served few meals. and thank god I flew with Malaysia Airlines. Can't imagine naik Air Asia- semua benda pon nak kena bayar.lol. and the best thing was- i had unlimited pink guava juices all the way. :))

Ladies, please bear with me because I've got tonnes of photos here. It's just this is my first trip with hubby so bagi chance la sikit. hahaha

That is Beijing International Airport. Pretty small for an International Airport. KLIA is ten times cooler. hehe. Oh suhu pagi itu lebih kurang -2DegC. Still boleh tahan lagi. Not windy at all.

First stop : The Summer Palace

It took us roughly 45mins to reach Summer Palace from Beijing Airport. It was still early and traffic is pretty okay at that time. I'm sure maaaaaany of you actually travel across the world and have found magnificent architectures- but I must say that China is beautiful and interesting. If you've been to the Summer Palace you can see some hills, and that is actually the tanah they korek to make the lake. I'm amazed with all the hard work. And the palace is sooo huge. Patah kaki tawaf dalam cuaca sejuk.

oh and you can see some old men main layang-layang dekat situ. they got some money from the government thats how they kill their own sweet time.

and the ladies? they dance. heh.

oh jangan lupa ambil gambar kucing obese ni nanti ye. heh

Next stop : Pearl Shop

Oh lupe nak bagitahu dekat Summr Palace ada lake bukan? so there this lady emperor gile kecantikan and she thought pearls helped her a lot la. anyway ini bukan pearl macam mikimoto tuh.lol. tapi ini pearl kecik cinonit. lepas tuh buat jadi aksesori dan kecantikan.

my advice. the product kecantikan smell like sh*t and there this abg in my group macam interested la nak beli. so this amoi sapu terus dekat muka die. aftr 2-3 jam terus tumbuh jerawat ke merah2 dekat muka. sampai hari last day pon masih ada. so in case any of you yang pernah beli, dan berkesan, sila lah bagitau saya. sebab saya tak beli. hahahahaha

*tip: in case u wanna buy anything here in BEIJING avoid cakap duit dalam melayu macam 5ringgit, 10ringgt, murah. mahal. taknak beli. oh they understand you very well. plus time winter lah ramai pelancong dari Malaysia & Indonesia.

Third stop : The National Stadium - Bird's Nest

Okay did you know there is this tycoon from Malaysia was the biggest donater during Beijing Olympic? He donated quite a lot for this stadium &etc.

We spent roughly 45 minutes here ambil gambar. heh. tak masuk dalam pon.

choosing your designer(s)

let's pretend we live in a world where money is not an issue. where money grows on trees. or u have money laying around you.

hahaha, okay kidding. but let's just pretend we have extra money to be spent on our baju kahwin.

(although i highly recommend u girls to spend more on your make ups and photographers)

first criteria : cekidaud their latest/ classics designs first.

let be honest, some designers naik cepat sebab dieorg suka buat baju apa yang customer mintak. contoh: aminah nak baju macam cosry. sebab tak mampu nak hire cosry, die pon hire ali to do the tailoring. in a way, nama ali naik sebab boleh buat baju sebijik macam cosry tapi dengan harga murah.

or would u rather choose someone yang memang ada identiti sendiri? most upscales designers die memang refuse buat baju macam designer lain. designers yg dah up nih, die org ada die org punya trademark sendiri. so, it depends on you girls, nak apa dekat baju kahwin tuh. remember, beautiful is VERY subjective. ada yang kata body apple itu cantik, dan ada juga yang kata body biola itu cantik (apa aku merepek?) lagipun, the last thing they want to hear from others is designer curi idea designer lain. so beware what u're asking girls.

second criteria : do your homework!

funny that some of you tak kenal sharifah kirana. ive got tonnes of emails asking me siapa ye sharifah kirana? is she a new designer? you may read abt her from wiki or here. or here. or here. whatever that is, please visit her at kompleks karangkraf, jalan conlay and see her bridal collections yourself. or if you have some money, u can ask her to do your baju kahwin and do it for sewa(with your measurement and guess what its brand new) OR if you have extra money, tag along your boyfriend or fiance or mom to meet her and tempah terus baju. lepas kahwin simpan macam saya buat. hahahaha, lepas tuh tak tahu bila lagi dapat pakai sebab sekarang semua bahagian pon sudah membesar. lol

and for my case, i found out abt jeffriey ibrahim from my sister, she did some googling and it happened that the same year jeffriey has won the best new designer from mifa. he's talented, he's a former student of radzwan radzwil (i think radzwan is a good guru, he produced a lot of good students: some of them are qudyn and najib salman). p/s *hint*okay, since im no longer a bridezilla and soon to be mummy, i will talk all the nice things about him (if u were previous customers of his, shoot me an email!!!!) his price are pretty reasonable, all included from top to toe.all yours or sewa(new one for you)...the only drawback (okaylah there are a few more lagi tapi im trying to be all nice here)-, he's not punctual. sorry jeffriey, i think these ladies need to know about this.

so, you may think u have done your homework, tapi wait till u pay them deposit, and thats when the problem comes. but after all all, since all my baju turned out to be good, so stop complaining hidayah :P

my final criteria : choose someone who can work with you

hello bridezillas, welcometo the club. i was a bidezilla once. girls, if you have a chance to speak to any of my vendors, dont shyshy asking them about me. i bet everyone will say : "aku taknak ambil bride macam hidayah lagiiiii". hahahah

i mean come on, we have the rights, and customers are always right (eventhough they can sometimes be wrong too) i didnt say i didnt have any problem at all with my vendors, but those were little ones- sometimes aku je yang ter emo lebih tak tentu pasal. but to think about it, i think i owe them an apology.

hahaha, i guess you girls, mesti dissapointed dengan entry yang merepek ini.

my point is... choose your designer based on your instinct. if it turned out well, give yourself a pat on the shoulder. if not, stop complaining and work for it. be a bridezilla!

possibly the best dry cleaner in malaysia

after my sister's bad experience with our favourite dry cleaner in seremban, i took extra precautions sending off my clothes to the dry cleaner- especially those that cost a bomb. my sister's chiffon's dress can't be worn again so yeah- imagine wearing it sekali je, lepas hantar dry cleaning terus tak boleh pakai. *stress*

i , however, have found the best dry cleaner in malaysia (in kuala lumpur to be precise).

if you had a chance to belek my wedding dresses especially the one done by sharifah kirana- you will notice the intricate beading and the last thing i want to do is to ruin my dresses by sending them off to those non expert dry cleaners.

the place is non other than...

jeeves, bsc

when we got our nikah baju, i asked fiance (now hubby) to send off the baju for pressing. kirana told us the best place to go is jeeves. and mandarin oriental. but since jeeves is in bsc and its only sekangkang kera sahaja from hubby's house- i say why not.

yes, the baju siap within 2 days, and because there were some markings on the baju, the owner; an english man told hubby to get it dry cleaned. both of us were very happy with the service and decided to send all my wedding dresses to jeeves.

yes, we were very happy with the outcome. my chiffon dress (seremban reception) stays in shape. takde mengecil or takde mengembang or takde terkoyak. so, if any of you tell me it's okay if ur chiffon baju not to stay in shape after a while- it won't happen here in jeeves.

plus, if your baju ada terkoyyak sikit ke, or ada benang from the beading tertanggal ke they will help to jahit but you have to mention lah where and where.

you should try sending off your baju if you love your baju as much as i love mine. plus, i will be only married once, so why not. once in a lifetime je kot?

in terms of the price, i guess this place has the highest price in the market- but thats what you have to pay in order to get good service kan?

that is not the owner. that is azman.

oh yea, i almost forgot, they also do drop offs without any extra charges (i guess the price is already included, he he he)

oh if you think jeeves is super expensive, then i have another option for you.

niki (from glamourpusscards and nikigotmarried) told me once that she send off her baju to pristine. pristine is located in bangsar as well dekat jalan telawi. next to alexis, bangsar opposite starbucks. this place is awesome. u send ur baju today, you will get the next day. price? sama je dengan kedai dobi dekat seremban tu yg ambil masa a week to get my baju done. i havent try to send my sister's chiffon dress here- takut rosak but so far i am very satisfied with the service. price pon not bad. i sent my baju tunang there. and dress lica yang mahal tapi pakai sekali pon dekat situ. and other baju as well. and all hubby's wedding baju.

or maybe chiffon are exceptional- i should stick to jeeves je kot?. :)

there this one shop called pressto. i heard they are good too. maybe i should check it out soon.

in the mean time, the best dry cleaner in malaysia goes to JEEVES.

p/s other than in bsc, jeeves also can be found along jalan ampang. if you are familiar with hock choon not teck hoon lol (a supermarket that is next to victoria station) next to it there are few shops- jeeves is at the end of the block.

INSURANCE : AIA or PRUDENTIAL or ING?

AIA : I think so far (people who took the insurance) have no problem with the insurance company. senang nak claim, masuk kpj pon senang je. sesiapa ada bad experience ke dgn AIA?

PRUDENTIAL : org ckp jgn pilih prudential. kenapa entah? sesiapa ada bad experience?

ING : so far the only reason i nak dgn ING sebab boleh claim masuk prince court. lol. (oh prudential bsn pon diterima di prince court) . ramai yg kata ING paling mahal.

So, tell me which one is better? I'm sure each insurance company ada good and bad things- but kadang2 beli insurance ni macam beli kereta- tengok ada luck atau tidak.

i got to know about this shop months ago from my mak (in law). ever since then, i am so hooked up with this place- sometimes i beg hubby to get the bread for me like almost everyday.

it's quite small, have few chairs- i think roughly dalam less than 25 kot(?)- and oh my- the moment you enter the shop (bakery) you will be greeted by fresh smell of bread. ah, heaven.

i've been constantly buying this two bread-

that wheel thingy - apricot&dates (rm3.80), and the other one is a soft bun (butter) inside. these 2 are my favourites! been eating these since day 1.

i read some reviews from others- and i think some day i gotta spend my Saturday morning to try their different sets of healthy breakfast esp the one with melted cheese on top of fresh whole meal bread. yummeh!

i love the simple deco from the grey wall to the fresh flowers to the chairs, etc.

and the free wifi :)

the bread shop open from monday to saturday; 8.00 am ; weekday closes at 7.30pm but saturdays close at 5.00pm. not open during public holidays and sundays.

and their hot chocolate is a must try. i think they can beat the one at the loaf (pavi).

downside?

a bit pricey :) he he he. so tak boleh afford nak makan tiap-tiap hari.

makan dekat waroeng penyet = makan nasi putih dengan ayam kfc.

ayam cooked with perfection? not even close. hurm, like ayam kfc, yes.

few days ago, i was cravng for ayam penyet (wong solo) like crazy. too bad, damansara heights and shah alam *ehem* jauh sangat. ha ha ha. plus, ive been doing a lot of reserach, little did i know there are soooooo many kedai ayam penyet di kl ini. and a friend of mine (from fb)- i read her status; saying that ayam penyet dekat waroeng penyet sedap gila.

and the next day i went to waroeng penyet. (in case u feel a bit lost, try to find bubba gump and walk behind the kedai. waroeng penyet is very close to paddington (belakang kedai) and some chinese food restaurant.

this ayam penyet (rm7.90) + nasi putih (rm1.90) , air mineral (rm1.90)

yes, die takde set macam wong solo (tak kisahla even though wong solo punye ayam cinonit (kecik) je, tapi sedappp--- ahhhh, nak makan wong solo pls) and the kuah pedas- memang tak pedas lgsg. grrrrr.

yes, i was very hungry at that time.

2010 has been a very very good year for me. I've got hitched and I think I had the most fabulous wedding ever. (I have to brag about it) Who can top my 5 events ha? lol. Alhamdulillah, everything is so sunny right now. I just hope 2011 takes the hint - well anyway it's been great so far- (lol, who am I kidding? baru 3 hari je)

I've got tonnes of things to write- dont worry reviews of my photographers, videographers are coming up. I'm definitely not good putting up with good words but I do think they are the most amazing people and I'm gonna ask (persuade) my sister to take them IF she's gonna get married anytime soon. and I definitely will consider them for my child's aqiqah (*ehem* too fast too plan ha?)

And to you my readers, (I think) I have replied all your emails- do send me a reminder if you havent received any- and I am so sorry for any late replies- sometimes I do not know how to reply to you girls but I must say I have a bunch of lovely readers out there.

I miss BJ. LOL.

I tried to search my 2010 new year's resolution but funny I can't remember if I did post something like a wishlist or a goal- but all I know 2010 is the year for me to get married. I know I have achieved a lot of great things. Too many to list down- oh I dont know where to start- but alhamdulillah, I'm grateful with everything. Kuyah is getting better (Prince Court is the BEST hospital in Malaysia to get dialysis!!!!), in less than a month we've got the key to our nest-insyaallah, I on the other hand is enjoying every bit of my life.

And when it comes to "wishlist" I tend to become a bit "bimbo".

All I want for 2011 ...

After spending a 3D2N at Avillion Port Dickson, I've realized I enjoy being on a beach- although sea (/water) can be quite scary. But Krabi sounds so much fun kan?. Tell me, which month should I go?

Seperti yang telah diwar-warkan, kami telah pergi bercuti di Kota Beijing yang sungguh indah. Let see. It's December and it's freaking cold. Brrr. Some tanya, kenapa nak pergi Beijing dalam musim dingin? Okay, we definitely can't afford to go to Europe so kat mana lagi nak merasa kedinginan pada harga yang agak affordable? Beijing it is.

I am definitely not a frequent traveller. So, this trip was definitely a worth one. I've got to meet amazing people, got to see their culture, their amazing architecture and I'm having the best time of my life arguing cum bargaining with the penjual there. he he he. I think Hubby kena heart attack sekejap tengok bini dia menjerit-jerit. Ha ha ha.

We flew with Apple Vacations via MAS Airlines. (I will write a special entry about Apple Vacations!)

Oh, how I wish I'm still in Beijing (berangan) - the only bad thing about Beijing > FOOD. (saya agak picky so mmg tak semua benda saya boleh telan :P)

I will start writing about Beijing in a day or two- i'm sure siapa yang dah pergi sana via group tour, confirm dah pergi semua tempat "wajib"- Although there were 18 of us, but we flew with another 3 families- feels like macam berjalan2 dengan family masing-masing je dekat sana. Jalan-jalan pon rilek je. How I wish my sisters were there too! Mesti lagi happening.

(Review) Amazing Decorator : Que Ariffin

I have started looking for a decorator ever since both parents agreed on which date to get married. That was somewhere last February, I think. I had "Bridezilla Attack" since then (though I think it started right after my engagement). And mak keeps reminding me to get good decorator.

Mak's definition of "good":

Good means he or she delivers the work. Whether the decorations will turn out beautiful or not, it is different story.

Anyway, if u are an avid fan of this blog (hahaha) you will see numerous posts on how will my pelamin (dais) look like. And I must say 60% of it came from abg nas? Which of course is beyond my budget-because I need the decorator to do my pelamin (I want one pelamin that works for two), hantaran, hand bouquet, meja beradab and deco for cake cutting table.

So, let's face it. Money doesn't grow on trees.

(But i did make an appointment with abg nas- and he cancelled twice. So mak suggested to find another decorator. I should merajuk macam Tahirah. Hehehe.)

Then someone suggested abg Dicky. You may find some of his previous works here. Too bad he's not available on my wedding day.

Then, after a while I stop looking. I just couldn't bother anymore.

Because I have an amazing dress. Hahaha.

Then, somehow on a fine afternoon - I googled this page and -wallah! add him on facebook and terus send private message and somehow both of us click! I persuaded him to come over to my house (in Seremban) malam itu jugak and he came eventhough he was pretty busy masa itu. And the rest is history.

The next day paid the 50% deposit and signed an agreement. Ladies, if we've been friends for so long , you will know that I am a control freak. It's very tempting to control every single detail but I trust the pro to get it right. I'm sure we paid the talented people to understand our vision, so let them to their job!

I think beside the dress(designer), the decorator plays a big role in an event. I mean if you hire a good make up artist- you don't have to worry on the outcome. If you hire a good caterer, you dont have to worry if food tak cukup or tak sedap. But if you hire a good designer belum tentu the baju will turn good. and same goes to the decorator.What hppn when suddenly all the flowers mati ke lembik ke. Or what if decorator sketch lain but actual jadi lain?

But its different when it comes to Que. He is very punctual. When I say I wanna meet him at 3, 2.30 dah terpacak dah. Plus, he knows how to handle customers. (me myself pon taknak ada customer macam saya ni. hahah)

I think what he did on my wedding is far beyond my expectations. In agreement I clearly state I want one pelamin but he did two (nikah & reeption). And he was there throughout the whole event. Dia tak tidur dari malam sampailah ke pagi - then kena buat hantaran lagi and he waited till the nikah ceremony finishes which ended somewhere mcm pukul 6- and malam tu datang untuk buat pelamin lagi. He constantly reminds me to smile in front of camera, he taught me how to sit like a pengantin (hahaha) and his friends are amazingly awesome.

Oh did I mention that he did this hantaran cepat gila. I have 11 + 1 hantaran for him to do and he managed to do it in less than an hour. UH-MAAAA-ZING!

He works closely with Jovian (he is verrry busy) - he did deco for Andrea Fonseka 's wedding (former miss universe). My Wedding Cakes

remember my previous posts on how my wedding cake will look like? yes, a girl gotta have a dream. and i even wanted an rv cake on my wedding. lepas tu fikir, who gonna pick up the cake- everyone akan busy and seriously i have no time to spare before my big day except teman my father. (yes, saya langgar pantang - "jangan keluar rumah sebab darah manis") plus, wedding cake is not cheap. hahaha

and a week before my solemnization i was determined not to have a cake- just pulut. a homemade one made by the loved ones. i love pulut. plus my wah(nenek) and aunts made some rendang too. alhamdulillah, everyone enjoyed the food on that day (i will review it later). even my decorator, Que suggested not to have a cake at all if the money is the issue. and you know lah this bridezilla pon nak kek yang extravaganza tapi harga murah. lol.

oh, if you're looking for one please go to mad about cake (m.a.c). their price is pretty reasonable. even jacky had hers done by m.a.c and she said the chocolate cake memang sedap. i have yet to try the cake btw. but im sure a lot of bloggers heard about this designer cake jugak kan? the price starting from rm350 and above. the tiffany cake roughly around rm400.

and so i had pulut cutting during my nikah. i love it to bits. i love to have something traditional :) besides, my mom, aunts and sisters did a good job decorating the pulut and what can you say about home made pulut? its the most delicious thing ever.

then, the next morning- i've decided (on my own) to get a cake. but where got kedai bukak pukul 9 pagi kan? i asked my pengapit (cum my adik) to go to secret recipe and specifically said "get me a cake yang nampak tinggi" lol. and there it was- my chocolate indulgence. nasib baik secret recipe bukak kedai pukul 10pagi. :)

it was a hit! yelah, kek pon kecik, i pon just nak ada cake cutting ceremony. but the kids (and so the adults) loved it.

besides, u cant go wrong with a chocolate cake kan?

masa kl reception- (hubby's side) we had the ever famous dummy cake. hahaha. i like that one too. at first i thought the dewan will provide the other cake yg mmg nampak macam dummy sangat2 tu- but this one looks (almost) real. ala, like i said, we need it just for the cake cutting ceremony :)

ha, lepas tu pura-pura makan kek yg dah siap potong kecik-kecik.

next, during melaka reception (latest) -we had cake cutting ceremony jugak. it was a homemade and it was delicious. am loving it!

there you go. i've got various cakes on my wedding. alhamdulillah.

okay, i know i have cheated. all these brides memang dah semulajadi cantik pon. hehehe. but, alhamdulillah, i managed to get sue cantik for 2 events - both seremban and kl reception and alhamdulillah the make up turned out superb. worth every penny spent.

selain mekap yg cantik, sue mmg pandai pakaikan tudung.

kl reception tu buat dekat dewan so memang tak panas langsung. tapi masa dekat seremban, buat dekat rumah mmg panas- and the good thing was- mekap ku kekal sehinggalah ke petang. tak cair. and i love the natural style sue did- it blends with my dress kan?

to check sue's availability pls call or sms je dulu (usually abg wan yg akan jawab) at 019-274 2947. sue akan ambil deposit rm200 for an event, balance bayar on the day itself.

as for price, area kl rm900. luar kl extra sikit.

my advice: sila book sue cantik jika anda ingin menjadi cantik.

My Hand Bouquets

For nikah, I asked Que to add something pinkish-(sweet)...

My all time favourite flower

I've been warned by Que that the flowers will only last max 2-3 hrs je. tapi bridezilla ni mmg nak jugak hydrangea ni. Heh, tapi memang by the time petang dah lunyai dah. But Que, mana ada 2-3 jam la..Its more than that okeiiiii :) Two thumbs up for Que Ariffin :)

As for my reception, I asked Que to design something lain dari yang lain. I think this flower namanya African something kot- African type of flower kot. (gotta ask Que again) My goodness, please consider this type of flower! yes, the handbouquet is pretty heavy but worth la angkut sana sini. And bunga itu tahan lebih seminggu!!!!

Two thumbs up for Que (again)! Loving this bouquet to bits!

As for KL Reception, I asked Que (again) to make one for me. My goodness. I love it. Hubby loves it. Everyone suka. Good job, Que!

(Review) Make Up Artist: Najeeb Azami

I know I've said this gazillion times before that I didn't do any facial at all nor intend to do one (not a day before, not a month before nor a year before). I'm not use to it. I know that facials will make you feel great, make your skin glows but for me- I just don't want to spend another hundreds (or maybe thousands) just to make my skin extra glowing on my big day. Besides, you need to do it (facials) as a routine- I bet you want to glow for the rest of your life right?

As for me, seriously I don't give a damn. I don't wear make ups. I don't even own a compact powder. I don't even wear lipstick to work. Hahaha. no wonder ppl keep asking me "are you sick, hidayah?" So, if you happen to meet outside, jangan terkejut pulak kalau tengok mata lebam saya ini. :P

Then comes to the favourite question :- how much do you spend for your bridal make ups?

Hahaha, after the incident- I've always knew I wanted Sue (Sue Cantik) to doll me up. Too bad Sue wasnt available on my nikah day (later I found out the person who were supposed to doll up by Sue on my nikah bailed her - !#!##!) I prefer to take the same person to do one task. Susah lah nak ambil MUA (Make Up Artist) a for nikah, lepas tuh MUA b for reception, MUA c for bertandang. Nanti lain2 result- aku pulak yang stress out.

I've called few other MUAs- tapi semua pon tak available. Ada yang available tapi kerek gila.

Then I found out another (famous) make up artist. I am an avid reader of Drama Queen's blog. She's beautiful (that's for sure)- she had the most gorgeous nikah outfit (until now I still dream of having the same baju- lol) and her make up was flawless. She then told me she had Najeeb as her mua.

And I was like - "er sape eh Najeeb?" I had to google him and later found out that he always do Datuk CT's make up. Oh, baru tahu. Heh (Najeeb, in case you are reading this- I am so sorry!)

Then I tried to google him lagi, can't find his number, lepas tuh terus berusaha and jumpa Najeeb on Facebook. And terus send him private message tanya "r u the real najeeb?" hahahahahah. And the rest is history.

Sangat mudah berurusan dengan Najeeb sebab dia sendiri yang akan angkat telefon sendiri (+1point) reply message sendiri- although kadang2 was-was takut pisang berbuah 2 kali.

Najeeb was verrrrrry punctual (+2 points for that!). He arrived dalam pukul 9- start mekap dlm pukul 9.30 (sebab bride tergedik2 baru nak mandi)...and he is uh-maaa-zing. He talks a lot too and gossips a lot too (+2 points). and the best part was, I've got to speak to the REAL CHOMEL, (2 points!) and complaint about the FAKE CHOMEL. Kesian dekat REAL CHOMEL. I promised to write another entry pasal ni, because I've found out that a bride (in kuantan) bayar rm4k dekat FAKE CHOMEL to do mekap for 2 events.

I seriously love the way I look during my nikah. (Gotta brag about myself- starting nowwww) I look ayu (I'm supposed to look that way kan?), I look sweet (hahaha) and beautiful (That's how bride should feel kannnn?). (+3points for that!!!)

Some say you need a trial makeup session before your wedding. I would say no, IF you've hired good make up artist! Whats the purpose of hiring them if you don't trust them? And trust me , you will look different during your trial session than your actual day. Because usually during trial session you will talk/dream a lot- eg: " i nak u mekap i cantik macam erra fazira" - lol tapi masa on ur big day, tak sempat nak fikir nak cantik macam siapa. I'm sure the MUAs know best- they know which colour suits you the best.

I've never met Najeeb before and I fully trust him to do the magic!. This guy is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! So apa lagi, mari add dia di facebook.

To Najeeb- I will never stop recommending you to my friends&families. Awesome job, Najeeb!! Perfect to my taste. Money worth spending. No regrets.

too many things too little time

I'm still busy. another event (his reception) in malacca- and can you believe it i have yet to find the perfect outfit for majlis berinai. hm, sanggul lintang, baju songket, baju kimono, baju cheongsam, sari and the list goes on.

it's like the traditional thing to wear different sets of clothes in melaka (i know, dad is org melaka too)- first i find it a bit tak best- but then knowing that we are going to have kenduri at rumah lama and hubby told me that the last one to get married there were his parents- oh im actually flattered. i have so many relatives (new) to help us - we will cook everything from scratch (some said merewang).. no more catering what so ever. and yes, im looking forward for the malacca's reception.

i know i had my dream wedding. i got everything i've wanted from my parents and hubby. got my fav ring from fav shop. got my macbook pro. got my g12. got my sukey. got my dream wedding dresses. finally im married to the guy whom i fall for the last 6 years.

i think im over with weddings. i cant bear looking at those bridal magazines, baju kahwin ke, ape2 shj berkaitan dgn perkahwinan. in fact macam nak termuntah pon ada tengok video kahwin sendiri. hahahaha. yes, im no longer a bridezilla. too bad, we have tons of invitation coming up - so kenelah make ourselves available kan.

in few hours ill be back in seremban. can't wait to meet my adik beradik. my niece. my mom. my dad. hahaha bunyinya macam jauh je. padahal bukit damansara dengan seremban macam sejengkal aje.

i'll be back with reviews. i have drafted few and now awaiting for proper photos. all i can say, i am very satisfied with all the people whom ive worked with. all of them are recommended.

in the meantime, please watch this space for me.

lepas breakfast (yg tak berape sedap) kami pergi ke pet farm.

hahaha ramai budak kecik so kene berebut2 sikit

hahah kami seledup pisang. berebut2 rabbit kecik ni nak makan

budak kecik ni selalu berebut rabbit kecik dgn saye

ada yg lain juga..tapi tak berminat

burung merak kadang2 selalu jalan2 dekat swimming pool ptg2

itu sahajalah aktiviti disini.

the trip was awesome. i never knew i love beach- a perfect getaway for honeymooners. too bad, i didnt really get to enjoy the food. tapi tak kisahla, pd dekat je, we'll come back again (but not so fast) or we'll come back again IF we've got special deals from matta fair. otherwise, its quite pricey.

cant wait for our beijing trip!

order fish n chips (okaylah, not so bad) dan main facebook

turun ke pantai yang tidak berapa bersih dan main-main selama 10 minit di tengah hari yang terik

lepas makan, misi mencari ikan bakar bermula. unfortunately kedai yg mak suggest tutup, so we ended up makan tempat yg sama.

this is more like a short vacay or honeymoon to some of you. allysha masuk hospital the day after the seremban reception, we planned to postpone tapi org tu ckp tak boleh at least kene 3 days notice.

we've got special deal dekat matta fair- booked the premium water chalet (chalet on water facing the sea) for rm700 for 3d2n.

the view was alright.

hello ladies,

ill write a full review of my wedding soon. masyaallah, everything turned out to be just like ive wanted. no words can describe how happy i was. everything went smoothly.

p/s i need to regain my energy for melaka's reception. suprisingly, we have not decide on the mekap and the photographer yet. if only i have more budget... hmmmmm
